Worte in die Ferne - Words into the distance

Ein stiller Sonntag. In der Küche köchelt das Gemüse auf dem Herd, nebenan spielt leise Musik, draussen fallen immer wieder kleine Flocken und die Vögel ziehen aufgeregt zwitschernd von einem Futterplatz zum nächsten. Heute ist ein Tag, an dem ich nicht dort sein kann, wo mein lieber B gerade eine schwierige Zeit erlebt. Nur Worte tragen ein wenig Trost über Entfernungen hinweg und lassen mich nah sein. Ein stiller Sonntag.

Ebenso leise ist in der letzten Woche mein Avery Cowl fertig geworden.

Das letzte Strickprojekt, dessen Anfänge ich hier bereits gezeigt hatte, musste aufgrund eines schweren "technischen Fehlers" wieder geribbelt werden. Umso schöner dieses Stück, gestrickt aus drei Knäulen Gobi von Zitron (Merino/Camel/Alpaca). B hat das gleiche Stück zu Weihnachten bekommen. Hoffentlich hält er Dich nun besonders warm!

 A quiet sunday. Veggies are cooking in the kitchen, silent music is playing in the room next door, outside small snowflakes are falling out of the sky and the birds are flying exhited from one bird table to the next. On this day I can't be where I'd love to be, in the place where B is going through a hard time right now. Only words can carry a small consolation over the distance, can bring me near. A quiet sunday.

And also quietly I finished my Avery Cowl last week. The last knitting project I showed here had to be frogged due to a heavy technical mistake. This piece is a good replacement though. Knitted from three skeins of Gobi from Zitron, a mix of merino, camel and alpaca. I knitted B exactly the same one for christmas. I hope it will keep you a bit warmer, especially during these days.
