Das Jahr hat hier stürmisch und verregnet begonnen. Trotz des Wetters leuchteten die Strassen um Mitternacht in hellen Funken auf! Ein schöner Start in den Jahresbeginn. Vom Hafen her hörte man Schiffshörner das Jahr begrüßen und von den nahegelegenen Kirchen klang anhaltendes Glockengeläut.
Der Morgen kam wunderbar still daher. Die Stadt schlief in den Tag hinein.
Der Tag, das Jahr fühlt sich so neu an, voller Möglichkeiten und Gelegenheiten. Ein schönes Gefühl!

The year's beginning arrived in a rather stormy and rainy behaviour. Still at midnight the streets were lit up by a thousand sparks and lightnings! A beautiful start of the year. From the harbour you could hear the horns of the big ships welcoming the year and the sound of the churchbells nearby filled the air.
The morning was wonderfully quiet. The city was deep asleep.
The day, the year feels so brand new, full of possibilities and chances. A nice feeling!
